What we do for you
We pack, carry, drive and put everything back together at the new place. Dismantling and reassembly are not charged separately. If there is time between two homes, we store your belongings temporarily through our storage partner.
House removals
From a studio to a detached house. After a short phone call we know which van and how many people are needed.
Packing service
We pack your whole home, from the wardrobes to the kitchen drawers, and label every box by room.
Pianos and heavy items
Ground floor to ground floor at no extra charge. If it has to go up the stairs or through the window, that is on the quote in advance.
Senior removals
At a calm pace. We can also make the bed and fill the cupboards. The children have one fixed point of contact, even if they can't be there.
Urgent removals
Does it need to happen this week? Call us and we will check the schedule while you are on the line. The hourly rate stays the same.
Business removals
We come and take a look first. Then you get one fixed price and a plan per department.

The materials are already in the van
Blankets, furniture dollies and ratchet straps come in the van as standard. You don't need to hire or borrow anything.
Your belongings go straight to the right place
Every box gets a room number, and all day there is one person who knows where everything goes.
An invoice you can check
The invoice shows the same items as the quote: the hours, the movers, the van and the kilometres.
You call the owner
Benjamin answers the phone himself, from 08:00 to 20:00. If he can't pick up, he calls you back the same day.
Your belongings are insured up to € 2,500,000
The excess is € 300. We photograph fragile items before they go into the van, and again at the new address.

About Verhuisbedrijf Nieuw Begin
Verhuisbedrijf Nieuw Begin is opgericht door Benjamin van der Meer. Veertien jaar verhuizer, anderhalf jaar op eigen naam. Wij werken met een ploeg die al jaren samen verhuist.
The vans and the furniture lift are based on the Flemingweg in Alphen aan den Rijn. From there we move households and businesses, across the Netherlands and as far as Sweden and Portugal.
Frequently asked questions
What does a move with you cost?
We work on an hourly basis: you pay for the hours we work, plus the van and the kilometres. How many movers and which van you need depends on your belongings and the stairs. The calculator gives you an indication beforehand, and the cost guide explains what determines the price.
Why no fixed price in advance?
Because we have not seen your home yet at that point. We estimate the hours generously on the quote and charge what it actually cost. Would you still prefer one fixed amount? Then we come and take a look first.
What if it takes longer than the quote?
We estimate the hours generously, so usually the quote is right or you are finished sooner. If there is more to move on the day than agreed, you will hear about it before we start. If it still runs over, we charge the extra time at the same hourly rate.
Do you also work outside Alphen aan den Rijn?
Yes. Up to 150 kilometres we charge the travel time in hours, plus the kilometres. Further away, travel costs are a separate item on the quote. We have driven to Enschede, Sweden and Portugal.
Do you take furniture apart and put it back together?
Yes, at no extra charge. We take apart beds, wardrobes and tables and reassemble them at the new address. We bring our own tools.
