Do you also work outside Alphen aan den Rijn?
Yes. Up to 150 kilometres we charge the travel time in hours, plus the kilometres. Further away, travel costs are a separate item on the quote. We have driven to Enschede, Sweden and Portugal.
Do you take furniture apart and put it back together?
Yes, at no extra charge. We take apart beds, wardrobes and tables and reassemble them at the new address. We bring our own tools.
Do I have to pack everything myself?
No. We can pack everything for you and unpack it again at the new address. If you would rather pack yourself, we deliver boxes and materials in advance at list price.
What do I need to arrange for a move?
The council, your rent, internet, energy and your post. Our moving checklist shows what to arrange each week, to tick off online or as a PDF. We arrange the parking permit or exemption with you in advance.
What if something breaks during the move?
Report it to Benjamin straight away, ideally with a photo. We photograph fragile items before departure and after arrival, so together you can quickly see what happened. Your belongings are insured up to € 2,500,000, with an excess of € 300.
How do I estimate my volume?

Why do you charge by the hour rather than a fixed price?
Because then you pay for the time the move actually takes. On the quote we estimate the hours generously. Would you still prefer one fixed amount? Then we come and take a look first.
What does an hour cost?
We work on an hourly basis. You pay per mover and for the van for the hours we work, plus the kilometres and the call-out charge for your region. Everything is listed line by line in the quote in advance, and the calculator gives you an indication beforehand.
When do I pay?
After the move. You receive an invoice with a breakdown of the hours, so you can see exactly where the time went.
How do you charge for a move abroad?
By hours and kilometres, just like in the Netherlands. On top of that come the crew's overnight stay and any tolls or ferries. Every item is listed separately on the quote. For a large move far away we come and look first and you get a fixed price.
How long does a move to Portugal or Norway take?
Usually three to four days. We load on day one, drive on days two and three and unload on day three or four. Where possible, we drive with two drivers. The schedule is in the quote.
Do you handle customs and paperwork?
Yes. Within the EU there are no customs. For Switzerland and Norway we prepare the inventory list and handle the customs formalities.
